Al- Shafaka Foundation & Republican Hospital Makes Relief Call to Save Dialysis Center At the Hospital

Al-Shafaka Foundation that takes care of kidney failure & Cancer patients as well as the Republican Hospital at Sana'a City made an urgent relief call to International & Local Humanitarian and Healthy Orgs to save lives of more than 200 kidney failure patients benefited from the Dialysis Center at the Hospital.
" The Dialysis Center at the Hospital faces huge difficulties due to shortage of essential materials and medical solutions needed for the dialysis sessions made for the patients registered at the center from all State's Provinces." The Head of Dialysis Center at the Hospital Dr. Adel Al- Hagami clarified.
"the number of kidney failure patients the Center receives is increasing from day to day because many Dialysis Centers at many provinces were closed in addition to the refugees coming from the cities torn by the war. " Al-Hagami stated.
He also pointed out that the Center made during the last months several relief calls for the Organizations to support the Center but their response did not meet the Center needs.
He confirmed that the Center may not continue its operations during 48 hours in case the Organizations did not supply the Center with medicine and solutions required for the dialysis sessions.
The Chairman of Al-Shafaka Foundation, Wathek Sultan Al-Quershi, appeals World Health Organization, ICRC, MSF and all other local and international healthy and humanitarian Organizations as well as merchants and all people to assist the Center and save the lives of the persons affected with kidney failure at the hospital and other Dialysis Centers.
Al-Quershi also indicated that the Center stoppage puts the lives of more than 200 kidney failure patients at early complications and sudden death. Furthermore, the patients could not do the dialysis sessions at private hospital due to its highest costs.
It is worth mentioning that Al-Shafaka Foundation that takes care of persons affected with dialysis and cancer appealed the international organizations during the last months to support the governmental dialysis centers. The Foundation also organized a conference in the last month of March and recommended to establish a fund to supply the Dialysis Centers with medicine and medical solutions to be able to continue its operations.
