The Foundation provided the service of accommodating patients and their companions, who come from different governorates and regions of the Republic, where they are accommodated in the housing affiliated to it in the capital Sana’a, and the housing for patients consists of several wings, for men, women and children.

Over the past two years, the Foundation has been keen to increase the number of beds in the residence, reaching more than one hundred and fifty beds, while taking care of the women and children’s wings, expanding the scope of their absorption for patients, and providing the children’s ward with entertainment and other components of child-friendly spaces.

The number of meals provided to patients and their companions during the year 2020 amounted to more than 224 thousand meals.

Transferring patients to laundry and cancer centers

Among the daily difficulties and problems facing patients with kidney failure and cancer, is the issue of transferring them to dialysis centers in hospitals, to carry out two dialysis sessions during the week, receive radiological sessions, and conduct the necessary examinations. To contribute to alleviating their suffering, and to help their families, in providing some financial costs that they will need for their other requirements.

The Foundation is doing its best to provide various types of support and assistance to patients with kidney failure and cancer, which it shelters in its housing, and other patients who frequent it daily. During the year 2020, in cooperation with a number of businessmen, donors and philanthropists, aid was distributed Cash, which contributed to supporting the beneficiary patients and their families, by providing them with cash, which they use to meet their basic living and living requirements. Patients in the residence, and other patients who come to the institution, from outside the housing, during the month of Ramadan, benefited from this assistance.

With the aim of promoting awareness related to health aspects, and educating patients and their companions about health, the Health Supervision Department of the Corporation coordinates and implements a number of health awareness lectures and sessions, which contribute to raising the level of health awareness among patients and their companions, health supervisors and workers, and also contribute to enhancing knowledge aspects. , related to the risks of patients with kidney failure and cancer, ways to prevent them, and how to follow effective treatment methods.

As part of its quest to achieve food security for patients and their families, the Foundation, in partnership with the School Feeding Program, and funded by the World Food Program (WFP), is implementing the School Feeding Project, through which food baskets are distributed, consisting of flour, sugar, oil, legumes and salt, distributed Within the framework of the project, the Foundation provided food baskets to more than 766 families, while one hundred and sixty-three food baskets were distributed outside the project, in partnership with MTN Communications and the Communication Foundation for Development.

In order to benefit from the interaction of benefactors and benefactors, in supporting patients during the days of this holy month, the Foundation implements a number of Ramadan compassion projects, in cooperation with a number of humanitarian organizations, entities, initiatives and supporting personalities, individual Iftar meals were distributed to patients, men and women. And their escorts, in a way that took into account the precautionary and preventive measures followed, to confront infection with the Corona virus, and dry foodstuffs were distributed, and meat and dates were distributed to the families of patients.
