Psychological care and support unit
With the aim of addressing the negative psychological aspects of patients, to help them overcome life’s difficulties and raise their aspirations for life and hope, the Foundation established at the beginning of the year 2020 the Psychological Care and Support Unit, to undertake the implementation of programs and activities related to aspects of protection and psychological support, and to identify mental disorders in patients, and to discover and develop their abilities To achieve the required balance in their social relations, and in dealing with family and community members, and to provide patients and their companions with information and knowledge of health and psychological aspects, guidance, counseling and preventive awareness.

Daily nutrition
As a contribution to strengthening and enhancing the psychological aspects of patients, their companions and members of their families, and introducing moments of happiness and joy to their grieving hearts, and with the aim of alleviating their daily suffering, the Foundation is interested in implementing the activities of friendly spaces, and recreational and motivational trips for patients and their companions, which implemented during the year 2020, friendly spaces for hundreds From children, and a recreational trip to the Bani Matar district, for patients with kidney failure and cancer and their companions, and an entertainment and motivational trip, to the archaeological and tourist areas in Al-Mahwit Governorate, for a number of employees and workers of the Foundation.
Friendly Spaces and Entertainment
Awareness entertainment day
With the aim of enhancing the psychological aspect of patients and their companions, and alleviating their daily suffering, the Foundation’s Care and Psychological Support Unit implemented an entertaining and awareness day for patients and their companions, with the participation of a group of Yemeni drama and comedy stars, Yemeni singers, and a wide presence of media professionals, social and interested personalities, and the entertainment day included a number of Among the recreational activities, and educational and awareness competitions, which strengthened aspects of psychological support and instilling hope among patients and their companions, and also included the opening of an exhibition of a number of models of handicrafts, produced by patients and their companions in the institution’s housing.
Training and qualification of staff and volunteers
With the aim of developing their capabilities, improving their performance, and providing them with the necessary skills to improve the quality of services and outputs, the Foundation is interested in training and qualifying its employees, workers and volunteers, in a number of areas of training and rehabilitation that included environmental engineering, infection control, first aid, human resources, project preparation and management, dealing with patients, Reporting, statistical analysis, and a number of the Foundation’s employees participated in 12 training programs, implemented by other entities in the Capital Municipality during 2020.

Public awareness and education
Public awareness and education have its importance in creating advanced awareness about patients with kidney failure and cancer, especially with regard to their risks and ways to prevent them. Awareness and public education programs and activities, through mass media, radio and satellite channels, and in social media, in addition to the awareness campaign, about the coronavirus disease, and the importance of adhering to precautionary and preventive measures to confront the spread of the virus.
